Desilu Productions was founded by Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball in 1950 and co-owned by them. Initially formed to produce I Love Lucy, Desilu became one of the most innovative studios in Hollywood history. With a uniquely independent spirit, a bold creative vision and the courage to take significant risks, the Desilu team brought to life some of the most beloved and successful TV series of all time, including the original Star Trek, Mission: Impossible, The Untouchables  and Mannix.  Desilu also served as the production hub for other classic television series including The Dick Van Dyke Show and The Andy Griffith Show.
